Middle Tennessee State University is a public university in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Founded in 1911, the university consists of eight undergraduate colleges as well as a college of graduate studies, together offering more than 80 majors/degree programs through more than 35 departments and over 300 concentrations. MTSU has been recognized as one of the top schools in the Southeast. MTSU has the lowest tuition rate of any major university in Tennessee. The combination of high-quality programs, student resources, incredible scholarship programs, and low tuition cost are unmatched in Tennessee. MTSU is most prominently known for its Recording Industry, Aerospace, Music and Concrete Industry Management programs. With over 300 student organizations there is always plenty to do.
